23 Things Assignment #2
Not many people know about Burano, Italy. This was one of my favorite spots to visit on our trip to Italy in 2001. Burano, Italy is a small island just a boat ride from Venice. It is a quaint town known for its' beautiful brightly coloured homes, and canals running through it, just beautiful!!! When visiting Burano, it really feels like you're in a totally different world with its' laid back life of the people living there. Burano is also known for its' magnificent detailed lacemaking. The streets are lined with quaint shops selling lace and older women sitting outside shops doing what they do best - lacemaking. So if you ever visit Italy in the future, make sure you visit Burano.

Thanks Adelina. Very beautiful. I will try.

That is so lovely -- is it one of your pictures? I think Burano is now on my list of places I want to see (since I hadn't even heard of it before that's a big jump)
Thank you for bringing back my memory of a wonderful vacation there. I spent one day visited a chain of islands off Venice. They are Murano (famous for its glass jewellery), Burano, Torcello and Lido. They are all different and all worth to see.
